When a Straumann Nova update is available, a notification prompts you to update to the latest version. Remember that you need to log in as Admin if you want to update Straumann Nova.

To update, go to Settings > Update now?

No. Straumann Nova only supports .dworder and .xorder files.

You don't really need to. You can use Straumann Nova to design your restorations and models.

To edit case details, go to Setup > Tagging > Lab slip.

To change restoration, output, or materials, go to Design > Bottom > Lab slip.

You can easily import any third-party materials and implant libraries. Anatomies are available for download on our website.

Straumann implant libraries and materials cannot be transferred.

No. You can reuse the SAP Code / System ID you have for DWOS/CARES. If you don’t have an account yet, you can contact your Straumann representative to get one.

Yes. All you need to do is to rerun the update for any version 2021+.

Yes. You can import coDiagnostiX XOrders with implant position information. You can then use this information to perform the restoration design.

Not yet. This feature is currently being evolved.

Yes. You can import .stl, .obj, or .ply files generated with any intraoral scanner.

Besides .dworder and .xorder case files, you can also import all open scan file(.stl,.ply,.obj).

No, it is not possible to run both apps simultaneously. You can, however, keep both servers active in the background to expedite the software transition when required.

Yes, but due to the introduction of new fitting parameters, the fit of the various restoration types must be evaluated before producing them for clinical purposes.

We have validated 3Dconnexion devices for use with Straumann Nova. Maybe you'll get the same results if you use other brands, but we can't guarantee it.

Go to Order Management > Select all > Save cases.

Yes. See here how you can build a model without designing the restoration.

Yes. Click Export to move to the export phase of the designed restoration without printing out a model.

The model height is automatically adjusted to the selected die or analog length. The longer the die or analog, the longer the model.

Not yet. Currently, only the base die is available, but we're working on providing more.

Go to Base. Make sure Ortho is selected. This should correct the positioning and visibility of the hinges.

No. This feature isn't available yet.

You can no longer edit the case after sending your design in production. This is to avoid sending the files twice.
